At Standard Industrial Company, we built this horizontal 300 ton forming/150 ton stamping press for a customer in the wheel manufacturing industry. Despite its being massive in size, it still required meticulous attention to detail for precise construction that would allow high speed operation. Specifically designed for center load and even tonnage applications, this 10' tall, 82,000 lb. machine features a bed width of 82" with a 75" clearance between columns, left to right. With a maximum open height of 64" and closed height of 16", the ram is fully adjustable over the entire 48" range and delivers full tonnage across the entire stroke. Its 60 hp. hydraulic system enables ram speeds of 200 ipm on approach, 40 ipm on press, and 205 ipm on return. The design inCorp.orates a counter balance valve and decompression system for punching and bottoming operations.

Experts for over 40 years at building specialty presses, our facility is one of the few well equipped to fabricate machines of this size. We have metal forming machinery capable of large part production as well as the hoisting and lifting equipment needed to move the components around the shop. We are also experts at ensuring safe operation - this press inCorp.orates two hand controls for operator safety and was built in accordance with ANSI B11.2 standards.
